Pak becomes five-time winner at Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger
Joins Wright and Sorenstam as the only LPGA players to win the same event five times
SYLVANIA, Ohio, July 15, 2007 – For the fifth time in the last decade, Monroe Street in Sylvania, Ohio, will once again be named ‘Se Ri Pak Drive' for the next 12 months. Pak (63-68-69-67=267, -17) held off Morgan Pressel's (68-70-64-68=270, -14) Sunday afternoon charge at the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger to win the event for the fifth time in her career.
With her $195,000 winner's check, she brought her career winnings at the event to a total of $995,073. Pak's victory also etched her name in the LPGA record book among the likes of Mickey Wright (Sea Island Open, 1957-58, 1960, 1962-63) and Annika Sorenstam (Mizuno Classic, 2001-05; Samsung World Championship, 1995-96, 2002, 2004-05) as the only women in LPGA Tour history to win the same event five times (1998-99, 2001, 2003, 2007).
