R.I.P. John


Very sad news. Our good friend John Bush, our starter on Wednesday afternoons has passed away.
League will not be the same without John greeting us every week.
Our thoughts and prayers are with John's family.

BUSH, JOHN K - Of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009, age 62 years.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Wrozek); two children, Nicole (Michael) Mandziuk, and Steven (Kristin) Bush; three grandchildren, Ciel, Charlotte, and Sydney; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon (Dan) Sowers, Barbara (John) Myers, Reverend Timothy Wrozek, Andrea (Dick) Brietzke, Randy (Cindy) Wrozek, Mark Wrozek and Kimberly (Joe) Pycz; numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Eileen (Behan) Bush; and sister, Sheila May Bush.

John was a graduate of St. John's High School and Michigan State University.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

John was an avid golfer and Michigan State Spartan Fan. He was actively involved in his community and in the lives of his family and friends.

His volunteer services include The Lumen Christi Titan Club - "the voice of Titan football and gymnastics, coordinator of the Ella Sharp Park Thursday night Independent Golf League, President of the Southwest Little League and baseball coach, delivery person for the St. Vincent dePaul Society, fund raising salesperson for Allegiance Hospice, and President of St. Joseph Church Booster Club.

John worked a successful career as a District Sales Manager for R.M. Wright Company, the W.H. Nash Company, and as a long time purchasing agent for Kent Moore Inc.

He also worked as a starter at Ella Sharp Park Golf Course.

John is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held Friday 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church 10:00 a.m. Interment St. John's Cemetery. John's brother-in-law, the Reverend Timothy Wrozek officiating.


In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Lumen Christi High School Titan Club or Allegiance Hospice would be appreciated.
